Welcome to Sandburg Elementary School! I am thrilled to embark on another school year with you. Whether this is your first year at Sandburg or you have been part of the community for several years, I look forward to partnering with you. 

At Sandburg, our mission is to create the best possible conditions for students to learn and grow as global thinkers, high achievers, and inspired citizens who leave Sandburg on the path to college, career, and community readiness.

We live out our mission by maintaining high expectations and prioritizing rigorous, standards-aligned instruction. At Sandburg, we recognize that scholars come to us with various talents and abilities. We value this diversity and strive to create a sense of belonging for all our scholars. As a staff, we intentionally focus on creating safe spaces where scholars thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. 

At Sandburg, staff members are committed to partnering with families to provide the best possible educational experience for our scholars, as well as provide great things for our community. We believe a strong home/school connection is vital to the success of our scholars and we appreciate the different ways each family can support our school and their child’s learning.
